Octo is a modular architecture system for cats. It comes with three types of units, which could be flexibly configured for the given environments. One can vertically stack or laterally adjoin at one's preference. For example, it can be built as a single housing unit, condo, playground and etc.

The main idea is that a simple modular unit can be extended to various programs by easy stacking. In so doing, it challenges the fixed boundaries between programs while exploring new and creative spatial possibilities for cats.

Octo has three types; the first one has an enclosed top and bottom, and the second one has an opened top and closed bottom, and the third one has both open top and bottom. These Octos all have four openings on the sides where cats can travel through multiple directions.

Octo is an architectural reinterpretation of octopuses. Their biological structures are the main inspiration in addition to their versatile colours and camouflaging. Octo takes on futuristic looks, and envisions a retro-utopian society for cats where they can experiment new spatiality in a playful manner.
