Accordio is a design study about portable pet houses. The silicone pet house is light-weighted and collapsible as an accordion-like structure. It is easy to clean and carry during outdoor activities and travels. This silicone house can be compressed in a 1/6 size by pushing both sides. A fabric cushion can be conveniently fit into the collapsed form for portability.
Pet houses are often bulky to carry around, and hard to keep them clean during outdoor activities. Accordio provides solutions to these problems in that it is light-weighted and can be easily compressed in a portable size.
A hole on the back was created for cross-ventilation since air could be often trapped within the silicone structure.
Accordio is made with safe silicone. Each magnetic frame (a total of 8) is reinforced for structural stability. Once collapsed, these frames adhere each other and keep it compact and portable.
